About the plant

Where to place it

Oxycardium loves bright shade, not direct sun. It is perfect for covered balconies, verandas, shaded patios, building lobbies and porches. In Delhi, keep it out of direct afternoon sun from April to June, and away from cold open winds in December and January. It also grows happily indoors near a bright window.

About the planter

Care guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light or open shade. Direct midday sun scorches the leaves.
• Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. In summer this may be every 2 to 3 days on a balcony.
• Tip: Mist the moss stick now and then so the aerial roots grip it, and tuck new vines onto the stick as they grow.
• Pets: Toxic if chewed by pets or children. Keep out of reach.
